Our executives take part in Serve the City

At Toyota Motor Europe, we believe strongly in supporting our local communities.

Translating our belief into action, 6 of our executives, executive assistants and #SocialImpact team dedicated their day to support Serve the City Brussels in their Lunch 4 All activity.

Lunch 4 All

As its name suggests, the initiative aimed to provide meals to people in need, including homeless asylum seekers and refugees, vulnerable families and elderly people living in precarious situations.

On 25 July, 2022, 12 members, 6 Executives, their Executives Assistants, and Social Impact team, gathered in Brussels City Centre to join this great activity, hands-on they demonstrated dedication and concrete actions towards Toyota’s mission of ‘producing happiness for all’.

Very quickly they set up a production system to pack the food bags. At lunch time, over 480 meals were distributed to vulnerable families, homeless, asylum seekers and refugees.

The bags were packed in record time, and with plenty of time left before the lunch distribution started some of our volunteers helped the Red Cross clean-up by picking up rubbish; others helped to clean the kids playroom.

“At Toyota Motor Europe we believe strongly in supporting our local communities. Translating this into action we were proud and happy this week to support our partner Serve the City in their Lunch 4 All event delivering meals to over 480 homeless, asylum seekers and refugees.”
Matt Harrison, Toyota Motor Europe President & CEO
“Let's all work together to advertise this more so we can get more people engaged. (I have already begun in my Business Unit). Serve the City, keep up the good work, it truly makes a difference.”
Marvin Cooke, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing
Toyota Motor Europe and Serve the City are partners for many years and supporting several activities. 68 Toyota members already took part to the Lunch 4 All activity since the start in early May, 2022.
